The shot requirements on some pole floats are rated in a form of weight called styls. These are not used so much nowadays, yet the manufacturers are still using the sizes in accordance to there weights of there floats.
Here is a conversion for some of the most popular sizes.
These are broken down into the amounts and sizes of split shot that can be used.

Dont forget these are only a ROUGH breakdown of the ideal shotting patterns. Not all floats will take what they say on the float, depending on manufacturer and quality. Also different makes of shot and olivette's will make a difference to the final shotting needed.
